Jacksonville's vegan food lives almost entirely on two stretches: Edgewood Avenue in Murray Hill and the blocks around King and Oak streets in Riverside. Everything below was checked against the venue's own site, and the question each entry answers is simple: is this a vegan kitchen, or a kitchen with vegan options?
Fully vegan: Murray Hillbilly (plant-based Southern comfort food), The Walrus (a plant-based bar with live local music that runs late), and Sweet Theory Baking Co. (an all-vegan bakery on King Street since 2012).
Vegan options done right: Homespun Kitchen on Oak Street, where vegan and gluten-free are part of the menu rather than substitutions, and Grassroots Natural Market in Five Points, a grocery with vegan options at the deli counter.
